May 29, 2026 Rifle/Pistol Range Work Party Saturday, May 30 at 9am we will be painting at the rifle & pistol ranges. Please come out and help the old guys complete this job. The gutters on the Lake Pavilion have been installed. The weather looks good also. Ladies Night at the Pistol Range Starting in June, every Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm. See the flyer on our website. Youth Outdoor Day The Youth Outdoor Day will be June 14th 2026. See the flyer on our website and Facebook. Please pre-register by email, include parents & kids names and ages, phone number and email address. We can always use some help for this event. Ticks Be aware that ticks are common in Ohio. Our Club is no exception. A member reported that he found one on his dog after visiting the lake. Please use spray (containing permethrin) and check for ticks whenever you have been outdoors. The ODNR website has information on identification and prevention that is very helpful. Ticks in Ohio | Ohio Department of Natural Resources Practice Trap & 5 Stand We still need reliable help to keep these open. The Trap range and 5 Stand are open on Tuesday evenings from 5pm until 7pm. Bring your own ammo. Price Increase Due to increases in target prices we will be raising the fees for the Trap; Beginning June 1, 2026 Members and youth (under 18) $7 Non-Members $9 Lake Please abide by the catch and release rule for Bass and Catfish until further notice. AquaDoc has treated the lake again this week and the weeds around the shoreline have been cut down. Membership Renewal You can still renew for 2026. Renewal forms can be downloaded from our website or available in the office during meetings. Bring your renewal form and dues to the membership meeting(s) or as always you can also mail them in. The date for regular renewal has passed. Late dues are $340.80 Keep your RFID card. It will be reactivated when dues are received. Thank you. NLFG at Canal Days We probably have enough sign-ups for Thursday and Friday at Canal Days. We could use some more for Saturday during the 11:00am-2:00pm slot and 2:00pm to 5:00pm slot. Any additional help beyond that would be welcome. Dates are July 9, 10, & 11. I will try to put an updated sign-up sheet in the clubhouse in the next few days. There is no limit to the number of new members you can bring in. This applies to 2026 memberships only. Make sure the new candidate states that you referred them at the bottom of your form. Take some time to honor those who gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces. 5 Stand Breakfast & Shoot The next 5 Stand Breakfast and Shoot will be tomorrow May 23, 2026. The Club will be open at 8am with shooting to start at 9am. Please RSVP as soon as possible. The weather may delay some shooting, but come out and enjoy the breakfast. Our Monday night 50-bird non-registered programs begin June 1 and will continue through October. Our next registered event will be July 24-26, when we will be hosting the ATA Central Zone. Pre-squadding for this event will soon be available at www.sosclays.com. Hope to see you again soon. NLFG Ammo Sale NLFG is offering the following M1 Garand (30-06) ammunition for sale to NLFG members at the May 14, 2026 membership meeting. The price is $1.00 per round sold in four lots. 1. A 500 round sealed ammo can of 500 rounds. 2. A 264 round can in clips. That’s (33) 8 round clips. 3. A second can of 264 round can in clips. That’s (33) 8 round clips. 4. A 112 round can in clips. That’s (14) 8 round clips. Note: The ammunition offered in lots 2, 3, and 4 is of mixed production years, all non -corrosive.
