NLFG at Olde Canal Days – Wrap-up
From Jim Steiner:
North Lawrence Fish & Game Club participated in the 2026 Olde Canal Days festival July 9, 10 & 11. In downtown Canal Fulton. This was the club's first participation in this local event. Thanks to all of the volunteers who showed up to help out. It’s a good way to get to know some fellow club members. We talked to a lot of people about our club, describing the facilities for all interests. Two common comments were “Where are you guys located?” and “I never knew about this place”. We even had a “I thought you were closed”. We sold 62 raffle tickets (as compared to 99 at the Wooster Hunting & Fishing Show), and a lot of people took application forms and other literature. We had the drone video playing, but it wasn’t very visible until it got dark. If we decide to do this event again in 2027, we could use more volunteers, especially at tear-down.
