Introduction To Handgun Shooting – Adults 18 and over:
North Lawrence Fish and Game Club will be offering an Introduction to Handgun
Shooting Class (learn to shoot handguns). Scheduled for Saturday April 18, 2026 at the
NLFG’s Club House at 15325 Lawmont St., North Lawrence, OH 44666 from 9:00 AM to
approximately 3:00 PM. This class is designed to get you off to the right start for new
shooters and/or provide you with a brush-up for those individuals that have not shot for
a while. Current ownership of a handgun is not required to take this course! In-fact,
delaying your purchase of a handgun until after this class should be of benefit in helping
you make the proper purchase decision for your requirements. For those that have their
own handgun, we encourage you to bring it to this class, unloaded, in a case or in its
original box. All firearms will be inspected on arrival.
We will cover safety, selection of a firearm, proper manipulation and maintenance of
your firearm, ammunition selection and proper hold and stance with live range time.
22 Target Pistols, 22 ammunition and targets will be provided for this class.

Class fee: $ 20.00.

Requirements:
Your personal handgun if you have one.
Proper ammunition for your handgun.
Eye protection (glasses if you wear them and or safety glasses). Furnished if
needed.
Hearing protection (ear plugs or ear muffs). Furnished if needed.
No open toed shoes or loose-fitting tops – hot brass can be disconcerting.
No live ammunition in the classroom! Keep it in your car until we go to the range.
Pre-registration is required as this class is limited to (15) people. We will have instructors
to assist each person. A signed waiver of liability will be required at the time of the class.
