April 10, 2026 Alabama Ave will be closed for 60 days starting April 6th from Lawmont St to the railroad tracks. Plan your route accordingly. Also, the construction company that was bringing dirt in for range improvements has chosen a different place to take it. There will be no range closures as previously thought. Lake We will be restocking the lake this weekend. Until further notice Bass and Catfish will be catch and release only. The lake pavilion and pistol ranges will be getting new concrete soon. Please be patient during these improvements. More details later. **** Volunteers Needed for the Five Stand & Trap **** We are planning to open practice trap as soon as possible. We would like to open the Five Stand on a regular basis as well. We are thinking of the last Saturday of the month and having a morning shoot with breakfast. As always volunteers are needed to make this happen. We could use people to reload the targets, take money etc. If interested, please contact any Board member or send an email to the Club at [email protected]. North Lawrence Fish & Game Club American Sniper Match The next match will be Saturday April 18th, 2026. Open to Members, Guests, and Non-Members. Advanced Entries are encouraged, but not required. Introduction to Handgun Shooting We will be having a handgun class Saturday April 18th. See the flyer under Club News on the website for details. Please pre-register for this event. The pistol and event ranges will be closed until noon for this event. Ladies Night at the Pistol Range Starting in June, every Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm. See the flyer on our website. NLFG at Canal Days The Wooster Outdoor show generated a lot of interest in our Club. We would like to do the same at Canal Days. The Dates are July 9,10,11. Volunteers are needed to be at the booth. See the flyer on our website and Facebook. Please pre-register by email, include parents & kids names and ages, phone number and email address. Gun Raffle The winning (DD ticket) at last night’s meeting was #39, a non-member. They chose the cash option. Tickets for the next gun raffle are $10.00 the winner will have their choice of either a Kimber .45ACP or S&W.357 magnum handguns, Henry rifle (your choice of available caliber) or cash option of $500. Contact Ron Krysiak (216-316-1748). Proposed By-Laws Amendment The proposed amendment to our By-Laws: Article XV – Conflict Resolution, was unanimously approved. New member referral rebate If you are a current member and bring in a new member for 2026, the Club will give you a $50 rebate. There is no limit to the number of new members you can bring in. This applies to 2026 memberships only. Make sure the new candidate states that you referred them at the bottom of your form. We had three new memberships last evening. Retiree Meeting Thursday, May 7th @10:00am Board meeting @ 7:00pm Membership Meeting Thursday, May 14th @7:00pm Bring your questions & comments. Raffle tickets will be available (see below). Don’t forget there are free hot dogs after the meeting! If you know of any members without email, please pass this letter along to them. Better yet, bring them to the Membership meetings! We still have NLFGC logo hats and tumblers available for purchase. There are very few of each left so get them soon.
